GRIZZLIES FALL TO
CHAMBERSBURG IN PLAYOFFS
Season finishes 12-2 in Pennsylvania, with Asheville heads high after a wonderful season!
The Asheville Grizzlies turned up in Chambersburg, ready to play almost 500 miles from home, and with over 1000 hard miles behind them in the last eight days, to take on the 2010 champions.
But it might have been such a different story when, coming up to half time and the Grizzlies 5-0 behind, the visitors were in the Red Zone, and could have taken the lead. But an 82 yard interception by Chambersburg's Jaron Nalewak turned the game on its head, giving the Cardinals a 12-0 lead, which they eventually turned into a 34-0 victory as the Grizzlies threw caution to the wind in the second half.
It has been a tremendous season, but as the team drove the long road back down the
I-81, thoughts are already turning to 2012 - what a season that is going to be!
